More and more people are becoming aware of the benefits of living a green lifestyle. Since UPM launched this page over two years ago, we've learned a lot and have adopted measures to make our operations more eco-friendly. Not only do such changes make green sense, they are green in terms of the money they save.

Daily UPM practices toward greener operations:
- Turn off lights and other equipment when not in use.
- Remove the company and staff from promotional direct mailing lists.Use sleep mode for the computers when not in use.
- Recycle paper; repurpose print out “mistakes” for note paper and later recycle.
- Unplug equipment like chargers and power plugs once charged.
- Produce virtual marketing materials.
- 99% of UPM marketing materials are digital.
Additionally, UPM buys more efficient, greener products as we replace equipment, and donate or recycle the replaced equipment.
